- Accumulator
- A single bet that combines multiple selections, and all must win for you to get a payout.
- Asian Handicap
- A type of bet that gives a team a fictional advantage or disadvantage to remove the draw option.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting.
- Bookmaker
- A company or platform that sets odds and accepts bets on sports events.
- Both Teams To Score
- A bet on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match, such as a home win or draw.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that returns your stake if the match ends in a draw, otherwise you win on the chosen side.
- First Goal Scorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal in a match.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is already in progress, with odds that update live.
- Juice
- The commission or fee a bookmaker adds to the odds, also called vigorish.
- Line
- The set of odds or point spread offered for a particular market.
- Margin
- The bookmaker's built-in profit margin, expressed as a percentage of the total odds.
- Odds
- The number that tells you how much you can win relative to your stake, reflecting the likelihood of an outcome.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals or points in a match will be more or less than a set figure.
- Parlay
- Another term for an accumulator, where multiple selections are linked together for a larger payout.
- Pre-Match
- Betting on an event before it starts, based on the initial odds offered.
- Prop Bet
- A side bet on a specific event within a match, such as the number of yellow cards or corners.
- Public Money
- The amount of bets placed by the majority of recreational bettors, often influencing line movement.
- Spread
- The points adjustment used to level the playing field between two teams in handicap betting.
- Stake
- The amount of money you put on a bet.
- Steam
- Rapid and significant movement of odds or line due to heavy betting activity.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving an edge.
